Amy Haisten

Hello, I’m Amy Haisten, a passionate Graphic Designer and Creative Director based in Jackson, GA. My journey in the newspaper industry has shaped my skills and expertise, allowing me to create captivating visuals and award-winning advertisements.

I began my career as an Art Assistant at the Fulton County Daily Report in Atlanta, where I discovered my love for newspaper advertising and design. Building on this foundation, I joined the Monroe County Reporter in Forsyth as the Graphic Artist and Webmaster. I further honed my craft and gained valuable experience in both print and digital mediums.

Continuing my pursuit of creative excellence, I transitioned to the Courier Herald in Dublin as a Graphic Designer and the Webmaster. This opportunity allowed me to continue expanding my skill set and explore new avenues of design.

Ultimately, I returned to the Reporter, this time as the Creative Director. In this role, I oversee the entire creative process, ensuring our designs and advertisements effectively communicate messages to our readers. While no longer serving as a Webmaster, I remain dedicated to crafting visually engaging experiences across all platforms.

I have received prestigious awards from the Georgia Press Association throughout my career, recognizing my exceptional advertisement designs. These accolades show my commitment to delivering innovative and impactful visuals that leave a lasting impression on audiences.

This website is a personal portfolio and an archive of my best work. Although it represents only a selection of my vast body of creations, it showcases the range and quality of my newspaper graphics and advertisements. It’s important to note that this website is not an official platform of the Reporter or the Courier Herald, but rather a reflection of my personal accomplishments and artistic journey.

Thank you for visiting my portfolio. I invite you to explore the collection of ads and designs I have curated, showcasing my dedication to the art of visual communication and storytelling. If you have any inquiries, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
